February 7th to March 7th, 2015, Galerie Eric Mouchet invites the art collective Born And Die giving them “carte blanche” for an exhibition entitled #00 — Chantier{s}.
Born And Die is a multi-disciplinary structure working alongside specialists and professionals of contemporary art, image, and sound.
The members of BAD have committed themselves for more than a year to the purpose of self-production, exhibitions, editions and events which present the work and talent of young artists.
The Editions by Born and Die propose a hybrid object; something between a book, a catalogue, an art book, a magazine and a fanzine bringing together reviews and interviews of the artists.
Envisaged to form part of a collection in the long-term, each new publication will gather together work from 5 to 6 young artists selected to focus on a precise topic.
For this launch version, Born And Die presents the work of Benjamin Collet, Rémi Dal Negro, Pierre Gaignard, Lou Masduraud, Thomas Teurlai & Cyril Zarcone around the topic of “Chantier(s}”.
200 copies of the work have been printed with the series limited to 25 copies in the specially designed presentation box.
The box gathers together the limited editions and the multiples of works which the artists created especially for this publication. It offers an active and playful reading which makes it possible to apprehend the approach of the artists and gives more direct access to their work.
The launch of this first issue is accompanied by a collective exhibition #00 — Chantier{s} at Galerie Eric Mouchet where you will be able to discover in situ original works of the artists.
Born And Die is an edition, multiples, an exclusive presentation box and a collective exhibition.
