ZONAMACO 2023

For this new edition of Zonamaco (Mexico City), Galerie Eric Mouchet is pleased to present new works by American artist Wells Chandler. Heir to the feminist art history of the 1970s, his brightly coloured crochet-knitted figures explore the notion of queer and the canons of art history. For the fair, he will present a new series of works referencing the figure of Maria Sabina, an Aztec curandera, shaman and poet known as the “priestess of mushrooms”.
