Half French and half Swiss, Christine Crozat lives and works in Paris, Lyon and in the train. She practices drawing, printmaking, wall-paper, installations, sculpture-object and video with Pierre Thomé.
Interested in what arises in movement and in displacement, she lives in two cities since the 1990s. She travels by train is for her moments of reverie, sleep, reflection and creation. Interested in the condition of man, his fragility, his place in our world, she chose very young to go to work in a psychiatric hospital.
She seeks for twenty years to help patients reconstruct a thread of their history in weekly workshops which she conducts in parallel with her own artistic research process.
She graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-arts de Lyon. From 1976 to 1990 she created the Alma workshop in Lyon, a collective of artists where one practices engraving, lithography, serigraphy, photography. Since 2012, she regularly undertakes trips throughout Japan
