ART BRUSSELS 2023
For its first participation at Art Brussels, la Galerie Eric Mouchet is pleased to present new works by the artists Wells Chandler (1985), Kubra Khademi (1989) et Louis-Cyprien Rials (1981). Wells Chandler will show his series of works inspired by Maria Sabina, an Aztec curandera, shaman and poet whose practice is based on the use of hallucinogenic mushrooms, never seen before in Europe.
You will also be able to discover or rediscover the works of Kubra Khademi created for her exhibition “First but not the Last Time in America” at the Collection Lambert (2022) and several gouaches that served as settings for her performance “The Golden Horizon” created at the Théâtre de la Ville de Paris (2023). And, before his solo exhibition in Paris in September 2023, Louis-Cyprien Rials will show a brand new series of images: “Tasawuriy“. A photographic journey through a fictional Middle Eastern country, revealed on Polaroids and supported by Artificial Intelligence.
During Art Brussels, we will also be pleased to invite you to the openings of two highly expected exhibitions in our Belgian space, Kubra Khademi with her exhibition “Ta’me Sib’ (طعم سیب)” and Wells Chandler‘s “Cruising Utopia“, on Wednesday 19 April 2023 from 5pm.
